Land rent exemption
In order to deal with difficulties in land rent exemption and reduction in accordance with legal regulations on investment incentives (exclusive of extractive activities), the Ministry of Finance has sent specific guidelines to localities as follows.

Specifically, in case the State let land before July 1, 2014 and the Certificate of Investment or Investment License included the land rent exemption or reduction but investors have not proceeded for the exemption and reduction of land rent, these incentives shall be now legitimised to enjoy the preferences.

In case the State let land before July 1, 2014 but the Certificate of Investment or Investment License did not specify land rent exemption or reduction or just state “granted land rent preferences according to the law”, it is not necessary to issue the Certificate of Investment or Investment License in case investors satisfy sufficient conditions for land rent exemption and reduction but they are slow at carrying out procedures for the preferences, these cases will be legitimised for such preferential treatments

All the aforementioned cases, lessees must carry out procedures, and submit applications for land rent exemption or reduction before June 30, 2016. If they do not file documents for exemption and reduction of land rent, they will enjoy exemption and reduction from the time of submitting the documents for exemption and reduction of land rent as stipulated by the law.
