Vinh Phuc Hosts Investment Promotion Events in Netherlands

Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, and Head of Vinh Phuc National Assembly Members Delegation, led a working mission to some European countries from August 24 to September 1, 2019.

In the Netherlands, on the morning of August 26, the delegation hosted a talk with Dutch investors at De Heus Group’s Headquarters. Mr. Pham Toan Thang, Deputy Ambassador of Vietnam to the Netherlands, and some Dutch businesses attended the meeting.

Delivering opening remarks, Deputy Ambassador Pham Toan Thang reported on recent progress of friendship relations and economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the needs of the Vietnamese economy and the corresponding supplies of Dutch businesses.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan introduced the province’s recent economic development to Dutch businesses. She highly appreciated projects invested by Dutch investors, especially the project of De Heus Group on performance and contributions to the province’s development. She affirmed that the province always supported and facilitated De Heus Group to expand business investment in the locality and asked De Heus Group, with its prestige and experience, to support the province to connect with potential Dutch investors to explore investment environment and opportunities in Vinh Phuc.

Mr. Koen de Heus, CEO of De Heus Group, said De Heus Group, founded in 1911, is a global corporation specializing in animal feed production in the Netherlands. Currently, the group invested in seven animal feed production factories in Vietnam, including a more than US$35 million factory with an annual output of 400,000 tons. As the first major Dutch production project in the province, De Heus Vietnam Factory produced best products and consolidated its leadership in animal feed production in Vietnam. Mr. Koen de Heus highly appreciated Vinh Phuc province for supporting De Heus Group’s business in the locality and affirmed that he would introduce more Dutch investors to invest in the province.

At the meeting, Dutch businesses directly exchanged with Vinh Phuc leaders and businesses on environmental issues and on investment and business regulations in Vietnam. Mr. Le Duy Thanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee, introduced more about local environment and investment incentive policies, and answered questions raised by attending businesses.

Earlier, the delegation paid a working visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands and met Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ngo Thi Hoa.

At the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan thanked Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa and Vietnamese Embassy officials in the Netherlands for their ongoing promotion support in the Netherlands over the years. She also hoped that the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands would continue to connect businesses of both sides and introduce Dutch investors to study the investment environment in Vinh Phuc and invest in hi-tech agriculture (seed production, farming techniques, product processing and consumption), environmental treatment, new materials, renewable energy, education, health services, travel services, and a smart city. Besides, she asked the embassy to assist Vinh Phuc province to promote friendly cooperation with Dutch localities.

Welcoming the working visit by Vinh Phuc representatives, Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa highly appreciated the province’s socioeconomic development achievements in recent years. The Ambassador affirmed that he would provide the best conditions to support Vinh Phuc province to introduce its investment environment to businesses in the Netherlands, and connect and establish relationships with Dutch businesses to invest in the province.
