Bidrico Beverages - Exclusive Drinks for APEC 2017: Milestones of 25 Years Serving Customers

In early 2017, Mr Nguyen Dang Hien and employees of Tan Quang Minh Manufacture & Trading Co., Ltd (Bidrico) honourably received the Third-class Labour Medal from the President of Vietnam for the achievements in technological investment, production, business, social charity and contributions to the cause of building socialism and defending the fatherland. This is a noble merit in recognition of tireless efforts of the Board of Directors and all Bidrico’s employees over 25 years of construction and development. This journey is not too long but enough for consumers to see Bidrico as an outstanding national brand. With its high-quality beverages, Bidrico has won the trust of Vietnamese and foreign consumers, and Bidrico purified water has been chosen as the official drink for APEC 2017. Sharing the joy with Bidrico, Vietnam Business Forum has a short conversation with General Director Nguyen Dang Hien. Anh Dao reports.
 
In 2017, Bidrico has been chosen as the main sponsor and the official drink for all the conferences of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2017? How did you feel when you handed a cheque of VND5 billion to APEC 2017 Organising Board?
When we handed it to APEC, we considered it a small but supportive contribution to the great event of the country, made the delivery of the APEC logistics more attentive, and elevated the image and position of Vietnam in the eyes of international guests attending APEC.
 
It can be seen that becoming the host of APEC 2017 will lift Vietnam's position in the region and in the world as well. Furthermore, APEC 2017 aims to create new momentum, nurture the future, promote development connectivity to boost economic and trade growth and cooperation in new fields. Actually, all of these goals are geared up towards the interests of farmers and businesses. That is why Bidrico thinks that its small contribution to APEC 2017 is not only a responsibility of a business to the country but also a great honour for us.
 
The only choice of Bidrico’s purified water as the official drink for APEC 2017 is a real hallmark of Bidrico on the development stage as well as an important step to lift Bidrico brand to the world class and go shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading beverage brands.
 
Trusted to be chosen as the official drink for high-level officials from 21 APEC member economies, Bidrico's purified water products must be superior in quality and safety?
The criteria, which the National Committee for APEC 2017 believes that Bidrico purified water will excellently serve and satisfy all high-ranking officials from 21 major economies of the world, are: Bidrico products carry pure-Vietnamese identity, Bidrico product quality meets the strictest standards of the United States and Japan; elegant and deluxe design.
 
Currently, Bidrico purified water is stored in three types of containers: 20-litre can for family, 0.35-litre PET bottle and 0.5-litre PET bottle. The 0.5-litre bottle has been chosen as the official drinking water for the APEC 2017 in Vietnam. With a brand affirmed throughout nearly 25 years of constant development and efforts for the health of Vietnamese consumers, the quality of Bidrico products is indeed somewhat certain. Specially, the Bidrico purified water is filtered through activated carbon to remove odours and through ion exchange systems to eliminate heavy metals such as iron, copper, lead, zinc, mercury, arsenic and manganese. The water continues to be filtered through an advanced filter (0.2 micron in size) system, sterilised by ultraviolet and treated with ozone through a reverse osmosis system powered by US technology. Water samples are tightly controlled and sample tests are conducted monthly according to standards imposed by food safety and hygiene authorities of Ho Chi Minh City.
 
Apart from the assurance of highest quality and safety, Bidrico also focuses on continuous improvements of packaging and design to make Bidrico purified water better, more convenient, more luxurious and safer. In particular, in 2016, Bidrico applied large-capacity auto-filling lines to enhance product quality and boost sales to meet the market demand. Innovation, technology and equipment have helped Bidrico improve product quality and draw more agents. The company now has nearly 1,000 agents and hundreds of thousands of families using Bidrico purified water in Ho Chi Minh City and neighbouring provinces.
 
During 25 years present in the market, Bidrico has never received any negative feedbacks from its customers. What strategy has Bidrico adopted since early days to have the today’s success? And, what is Bidrico’s vision for the coming time?
 Right, we have never received a single negative feedback so far.  Our today’s success comes from our long-term strategy from the very first days of establishment: Product quality, human resources strategy, distribution strategy and very different marketing strategy. In particular, Bidrico always puts product quality on top and conducts researches on best products for Vietnamese consumers based on economic development progress. In order to further enhance our high-quality products, we have always renovated machinery, equipment and technology to turn out products on par with giant domestic incumbents and to reach out the world market.
 
 In addition to product quality, human resources are another key to make the name of Bidrico. The company’s employees are well-qualified. 2017 marked a milestone in the maturity of Tan Quang Minh Company on the rough path of beverage market which started 25 years ago.
