Firmly Preventing Tax Losses in Trade and Service

In order to prevent tax losses, especially in trade and services, as well as lump-sum taxpayers guided by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision 1353/QD-BTC dated June 15, 2016 on plans on tax loss prevention in non-State enterprises and business households in trade, catering and services.

The tax sector has checked 33,633 companies and business households (19,281 companies and 14,352 business households). 83.2 per cent of enterprises have been checked, with an additionally collected tax of VND4,891.4 billion. Particularly, the amount of tax arrears and fines for businesses was VND1,946,1 billion and tax deductibles valued VND2,913.1 billion. 73.4 per cent of business households were inspected and a half had greater revenue amount by 50 per cent or more, subjected to tax revised up by VND32.1 billion in 2016. Business households with greater revenue by less than 50 per cent were subjected to tax revision in 2017. Some localities had more State budget revenue after inspections, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Da Nang, Bac Ninh, Khanh Hoa and Hai Phong.
