Posted: Tuesday, October 10, 2017

APEC - Vietnam Businessman Golf Tournament 2017 took place on October 1 at Long Thanh Golf Course, Dong Nai province. The tournament was held by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Vietnam Business Forum Magazine and Long Golf Course and Residential Estate.

The championship was claimed by Mr Cho Hyun Yun of South Korea with a total of 73 strokes.

This sports event is designed to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day, October 13, welcome the APEC Vietnam 2017 and to provide the opportunity for businesspeople and enterprises to enhance international business information and experience exchanges.

The championship was vied by 171 golfers who are Vietnamese and foreign businessmen in Vietnam and representatives from foreign diplomatic missions and business associations in the country.

Mr Le Van Kiem, President of Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading Company, said, “The tournament is an opportunity to strengthen the connectivity of the Vietnamese business community with its partners from APEC economies, to expand domestic and international cooperation, and enable entrepreneurs and enterprises to boost up trade and investment promotions as well as marketing strategies.”

As a playground for businesses where they can create and find opportunities for business connections, the tournament was sponsored by many domestic and foreign companies, particularly two Gold Sponsors - Vietjet Air and SCG Group - together with many co-sponsors.

Golfers were divided into four groups: Group A (Handicaps 0-15), Group B (Handicaps 16-28), Group C (Handicap 28 or above), and Women Golfers Group. All golfers competed together based on strokes swung.
