Our commitment to the Vietnamese Community

Pfizer was established in Vietnam in 2003, when its first representative office was located in Ho Chi Minh City. We are committed to improving the lives of Vietnamese patients by bringing innovative high-quality health care products to the Vietnamese market in the areas of cardiovascular disease, anti-Infectives and oncology sterile injectables.

Pfizer is proud to find new ways to collaborate with other innovators in the healthcare space, so that people around the world can live healthier lives.These collaborations includethose with academia, scientists, patient foundations, governments, other biopharmaceutical companies and treating physicians.

In 2017, Pfizer partnered with Population Services International (PSI) to develop Healthy Communities. The US $1 million collaboration will expand access to life-saving treatment in Vietnam and Myanmar. With support from Pfizer, the American Colleges of Cardiology (ACC) in collaboration with the Vietnam Heart Association, recently launched its largest ever global education program in Vietnam to stem the rising tide of cardiovascular disease by bringing together leading cardiology experts from America and Vietnam and more than 500 local Vietnamese doctors with the aim of increasing awareness and sharing knowledge.

Pfizer also donated VND200 million to the Vietnam Heart Institute to fund cardiac surgeries for underprivileged children suffering from heart disease.

Building for the future, Pfizer has awarded scholarships to excellent students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Hanoi Medical University since 2006.

We also continuously provide updated information both on our products and disease awarenessin collaboration with healthcare establishments. Since July 2016, we have partnered with Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine to provide a CME (Continuous Medical Education) program for hundreds of family doctors, not only in big cities, but also in remote provinces through online educational program, the first of its kind in Vietnam.
