First "made in Vietnam" Broadcasting Machine in Indonesia

Posted: Thursday, November 23, 2017

For the first time, a television broadcasting machine, manufactured by the Communications Television Development Joint Stock Company (CTC), was exported to Indonesia, marking a significant step forward in the manufacturing of broadcasting equipment in Vietnam.

Mr Nguyen Tien Minh, General Director of CTC, is more than happy as the transmitter broadcast Dual mode DVB- T2 and 5000W - UHF cooling by liquid - Symbol: CTC AD04502 DEX L is ordered by Indonesia.

“We successfully exported our broadcasting machine to Indonesia because of their true demand at the right time. This partner has come to Vietnam since 2014 to check the production capacity and, especially, to check the actual operation status of transmitters installed by the CTC in the provinces of Vietnam. Based on that, they set up projects, bidding and then ordering CTC machines for installation. In addition to the European standard specifications, the life of the machine is well performed, in compatibility with the climate of your country," said Mr Minh.

According to Mr Minh, this is a liquid-cooled generator with a capacity of 5KW. With this new technology, the heat is generated by the component operating on the surface of the heat exchanger and through the air blower system, the temperature is reduced. The lower temperature heaters are returned and circulated, reducing the noise and improving the life of the machine.

The coolant is made from pure water plus some additives to prevent scaling, and additionally, there is an additive to reduce the freeze. This technology addresses all the disadvantages of air cooling. Specifically, there is no need for large space to put the machine, as well as sound insulation to reduce noise and install large cooling systems in the engine room.

According to the technical specifications, the broadcasting tower is 100 m high, the coverage is up to 70 km, (for 5KW) for the Northern delta such as Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Thai Binh and Nam Dinh.

In the early 1990s, Mr Nguyen Tien Minh and his associates worked day and night at 129 Giai Phong Street, headquarters of the Research Centre for Radio and Television Equipment Production of Vietnam Television Import Export Company, to produce the first "made in Vietnam" broadcasting products.

Mr Nguyen Tien Minh has encountered many difficulties like lack of capital and markets and they need to install the machine to raise fund for projects.

Rising after equitization
After equitization of the company in 2007, the CTC company has a capital of less than 5.5 billion VND, but with continuous efforts, investing more equipment, especially in research, the company's broadcast products confirm their prestige and quality on the market. The company has successfully manufactured liquid-cooled radios equipped with a series of television stations nationwide, competing with foreign imports. Today, the CTC branded broadcast transmitter is broadcasting in Indonesia.

One of the advantages of the 5KW-UHF liquid-cooled transmitter, apart from price, is its warranty policy of up to 2 years while the machines imported from the United States, England or France have a warranty period of only one year.

The CTC also sends staff to Indonesia, training staff and transferring technology to the partners. The company also applies the management, control and troubleshooting technology of the transmitter (if available) through the internet without having to send engineers to the place where the machine is to be repaired.

The success of the CTC when exporting the machine to Indonesia is not only about the economic value, but also confirmed the great advancement of the CTC engineers in mastering the technology of producing broadcasting machines. This can be considered a milestone, a stepping stone of the company in the period of global economic integration. From Indonesia, the "made in Vietnam" transmitters will continue to reach out, affirming the quality and brand of the CTC, as the creative ideas that fill the life of the engineer, General Director Nguyen Tien Minh.
