Prior to this most recent appointment, Denis was Country Manager for Ericsson in Sri Lanka & Maldives for three years, after having previously served as Vice President of Ericsson Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos from 2008 to 2014. During his previous role in Vietnam, Denis was responsible for establishing and expanding Ericsson's long term strategic partnership with state owned Operator, VNPT Group. Denis was subsequently awarded the Campaign Medal by the government of Vietnam in March 2014 for his contribution to the development of the ICT industry in the market.

In Sri Lanka as Country Manager, Denis worked closely with the country’s leading Operators and the government in promoting a post-war nation building through ICT innovation and inclusion agenda, focusing on promoting gender diversity across the industry and developing Sri Lanka as an ’Island of Innovation’ for future 5G IoT endeavours in the South Asia region.

Speaking of his new appointment, Denis Brunetti, President of Ericsson Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos, says “I’m proud to again be involved with the Vietnam market, as well as Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. Vietnam is brimming with youthful entrereneurial drive and innovation, and I’m excited to join hands with the Ericsson team and our local customers and partners to explore opportunities for sustainable socioeconomic growth and inclusion as we together welcome and embrace Industry 4.0, fuelled by emerging 5G, IoT and Cloud technologies and capabilities. In an Industry 4.0 world, ICT innovation will become increasingly prevalent, providing the foundation from which the knowledge-based economy will flourish and digital transformation journeys will regenerate most industries, improving national competitiveness whilst strengthening sustainable development.

“We have already forged unique partnerships with our customers in Vietnam and Myanmar, allowing us to jointly pioneer new technologies and services across one of the fastest developing regions in the world. I look forward to continuing to partner with our customers as they accelerate their digital transformation journeys on the path to 5G and new business opportunities in IoT.”
