VCCI to Organise AANZFTA Programme in New Zealand and Australia

The ASEAN - Australia - New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA) entered into force on January 1, 2010 with a lot of commitments concerning goods, services (including financial services), investment, e-commerce, mobility of natural persons, intellectual property, competition policy and economic cooperation. This is also the first inter-regional agreement of ASEAN and the first free trade agreement that engaged both Australia and New Zealand.

In a bid to assist Vietnamese businesses capitalise on AANZFTA preferences to boost commodity export to Australia and New Zealand, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will organise a programme called “AANZFTA - Using preferences and grasping opportunities to boost trade with New Zealand and Australia” from May 9 to 19, 2018 in New Zealand and Australia.

The programme aims to introduce information, bridge the business to the market and help joining businesses promote exports to these target markets because if Vietnam cannot make good use of opportunities, AANZFTA will benefit only exporters of Australia and New Zealand.
