Nightlife Tour on Bai Tu Long Bay: Memorable Experience

Posted: Tuesday, October 09, 2018

56-year-old James and his wife from England said that many of his friends experienced nightlife on Ha Long Bay, a world natural heritage, and voted for it on Tripadvisor. He planned to come here and had a memorable trip in his life in September.

Ha Long Bay, a world natural heritage, is about 170 km from Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, which takes 4-hour drive to get. James and his friends from the UK chose to experience the ecological life in their two-day and one-night trip on Bai Tu Long route.

About 50 yachts are operating in this bay, such as Oriental Sail, Starlight Cruise and Calypso Cruiser. Most cruise ships run two-day, one-night trips. On the Starlight, 50 tourists are eager to board basket boat and kayaks to visit Vung Vieng fishing village - the first point on the itinerary.

Young tourists are keen to have the opportunity to sail in the majestic natural scenery, explore beautiful limestone islands like Mat Nuoc, Monkey and Con Rong islands, live with nature, take in fresh air and learn about the life and work of fishermen in this coastal area.

"It is great to learn about the life of fishermen in northern Vietnam. Amazing guides provide us with information on their daily fishing lives. We also visit fishing grounds and pearl farms and witness pearls processed into various items. We can also buy made-in-Vietnam gifts for our relatives," Anna Keith said with joy.

After visiting Vung Vieng fishing village, cruisers of 3 - 5-star class will take tourists to sleeping sites nestled behind mountains. European visitors will be guided by chefs to make nem - a traditional Vietnamese food that foreigners are very interested in enjoying. "It is an amazing experience to make Vietnamese traditional foods and tasting them right away," said John Adam on his first visit to Vietnam.

Tour guide and tour quality manager Tony Le from Oriental Sails said, in the nice evening, tourists can relax on the sundesk. If they prefer being more active, the can take part in cultural events, or if they prefer private spaces and hobbies, they can choose to experience fishing at night on the bay.

After a quiet night on board, they will welcome a new day on the bay with tai chi exercise on the sundesk. Then, they will discover Thien Canh Son - a wild cave in Bai Tu Long Bay featured by a rare natural beauty decorated with unspoiled stalactites and beautiful landscapes.

After a journey, James said, this is a memorable trip in my life. Just imagine that, in the midst of the majestic nature, rolling mountains and immense waters, on the deck of the boat, we sit close together, enjoy the scenery, share our joy with each other, and taste Vietnamese seafood specialties. Life cannot be better.

Ms Hoang Quynh, Marketing Director of Oriental Sails, said, "Bai Tu Long is a very popular day-night tour because it brings a relaxing and eco-friendly experience, particularly for European travellers. In the coming time, we will make two new cruise vessels to bring more jobs to tourism workers and help popularise Vietnamese nightlife tours in Vietnam in UNESCO-recognised natural wonders.
