New Regulations on Customs Procedures and Origin of Goods Updated

In 2018, the Government issued and amended policies and regulations on customs procedures and origin of goods in order to boost import and export and utilise Vietnam's comparative advantages. To help businesses update these new regulations, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will cooperate with PwC Vietnam and the Asia Business Trade Association (ABTA) to launch the Import - Export Support Programme themed “Updating New Regulations on Customs Procedures and Origin of Goods” on October 24 - 25, 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City.

The programme will help businesses understand and comply with customs procedures in accordance with Circular 39/2018/TT-BTC amending and supplementing Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC on customs procedures; customs inspection and supervision; export tax, import tax and tax administration; and the draft decree amending and supplementing Decree 134/2016/ND-CP guiding the Law on Import-Export Tax.

The programme will also help enterprises comply with the order and procedures of issuing certificates of origin under Circular 38/2018/TT-BTC on determination of origin of exports and imports and Circular 15/2018/TT-BTC on procedural flow in the issuance of certificates of origin of preferential goods.
