SAVICO Brings Toyota Brand to Vietnamese Consumers

Saigon General Service Corporation (SAVICO) launched Toyota Can Tho Showroom and made debut Toyota Can Tho Company Limited on September 30, 2009. The new showroom, which is headquartered at lot No. 20 in Phu An residential area along the Quang Trung Road, Cai Rang district, Can Tho city, started operation since September 9. This is the first of its kind in the city that operates under the 3S (sales, maintenance services, genuine component supply) form to serve clients in Can Tho and in the Mekong Delta region as well.
 
The 5,000-square-metre showroom includes a 4,000-square-metre area for showroom, service workshop, office and parking lot. The Toyota-standardized showroom is equipped with modern equipment and facilities and recruits skillful staffs and workers. The facility costs a total of VND108 billion (US$6.05 million) with Savico holding a 51 percent stake.
 
Setup of Toyota Can Tho Company Limited is part of Savico’s efforts to become a powerful economic group, specializing in multi-sectors with focuses on trading service, real estate and financial service. Trading service has been the company’s key business sphere with two branches, seven subsidiaries, eight affiliates and over 40 service units across the country. Savico has agents of famous trademark worldwide including Ford, Daewoo, Suzuki, SYM and Honda.
 
Savico set up Toyota Giai Phong Joint Venture that is famous for leading maintenance services and biggest sale revenue in the northern region. It also contributed capital to establish Toyota Eastern Saigon that always performs good operations and is among agents with the biggest sale revenues under the Toyota Vietnam Company. The Toyota Eastern Saigon Joint Venture has set up a new branch headquartered at No. 18 Phan Tri Tri, Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City. Toyota Can Tho has been the third agent operated by savico.
 
In 2009, Savico business operations achieve considerable achievements thanks to positive signals in the real estate market. The company also benefits from the government’s demand stimulus package that has supported its financial services. The company still places due attention to trading service. It made pretax profit of VND84.666 billion ($4.74 million) and had revenue of VND1,606 billion ($89.98 million) in the first eight months of this year.
 
With a motion of always satisfying clients’ demand, Toyota Can Tho is expected to become a reliant address with perfect services to clients in Can Tho city and in the Mekong Delta region as well.
