9th Panasonic Master Scholarship Awarded
Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd. held, on 13th September, the 2012 Panasonic Master Scholarship awarding Ceremony to outstanding Vietnamese students. Those are nominated from the strict selection by the Jury composed of representatives from the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, the Panasonic Scholarship Japan Office, and Panasonic Vietnam. This is the 9th consecutive time Panasonic Scholarship have been granted to Vietnamese students.
In this year of 2011, over 40 students from 15 universities nationwide applied for 2012 Panasonic Master Scholarship. The Jury has conducted 5 selective rounds and have decided to award the the Panasonic Master Scholarship for the course of 2012 – 2015 to the three students. Those three students officialy start their study course in March at top universities in Japan, after spending 4 months in Vietnam learning Japanese.
Mr Shinichi Wakita, General Director of Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd. said: “The Jury highly appreciate the three winning theses of Panasonic Scholarship in 2012 for their great feasibility in Vietnam. Our assessment is based on the purpose of of Panasonic Scholarship Program - to provide students from Asian countries with opportunities to study in Japan, enable them to contribute to the development of their home countries. Another purpose of the Program is to enhance the cooperative relations between Japan and other Asian countries.”
The Panasonic Scholarship Program in Vietnam has been started since 2003. Up to 2011 the scholarship has been granted to 22 outstanding Vietnamese students, ten of whomhave completed Master courses; one has completed a Doctorate; three are working on Doctorate in Japan..
