17 National Intangible Cultural Heritage Assets Announced

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced the list of 17 national intangible cultural heritage assets.

Accordingly, the assets added belong to five categories, including traditional festivals; social customs and beliefs; languages and scripts; folk performing arts and traditional handicrafts.

The 17 national intangible cultural heritage assets include “Tug of war” of Thai people, Lai Chau province; “Then” rituals of Tay and Nung people, Bac Giang province; “Then” rituals of Tay people and Nung people in Lang Son; “Then” rituals of Tay people in Dinh Hoa, Thai Nguyen province; “Soong co” singing of San Diu people, Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen province; “Het khoan” rituals of Nung people in Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen; “Noi ly”, “Hat ly” of Co Tu people, Dong Giang district, Nam Giang district, Tay Giang district in Quang Nam province; Trang Bang handicraft village of “Banh trang phoi suong” (rice paper) in Trang Bang district, Tay Ninh province; A Sao Temple Festival, An Thai commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province; Hai Thuong Lan Ong Festival, in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province; Performing art of “Trong doi”, “Cong ba”, “Chieng nam” in Xuan Lanh commune, Dong Xuan district, Phu Yen province; “Sinh ca” singing of Cao Lan people in Tuyen Quang province; “Nom script” of Dao people in Lao Cai province; “Ga ma do” (forest worshipping) Festival of Ha Nhi people, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province; “Khoi kim” Festival of Dao people in Lao Cai province; “Khen” art of Mong people in Lao Cai and Ha Giang provinces.
