The Asian Development Bank (ADB) received US$20.2 million from the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) in support of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) led by women to access critical financing and training courses in both Vietnam and the Pacific.

This is the second grant that ADB received from We-Fi to support the Women Accelerating Vibrant Enterprises in Southeast Asia and the Pacific (WAVES) program with the goal of promoting inclusive and sustainable growth and development through women-led businesses and start-ups. Nearly 5,000 women-owned SMEs in Vietnam and the Pacific region will be given access to this 5-year program.
