Vietnam – Belgium Cultural & Economic Exchange Festival is scheduled for October 25- 27, 2019. The festival, hosted by DEEP C Industrial Zones on behalf of Embassy of Belgium, delivers a range of events including: B. Fest – Belgian Cuisine & Culture Festival 2019, Hai Phong Port & Logistics Symposium 2019 and a semi classical concert “Coming Home”.
The festival was initiated with the ambition of becoming a one-of-a-kind Belgian weekend in Hai Phong that puts a spotlight on the city as a dynamic and emerging place to live and do business. Its vision is to showcase the best Hai Phong has to offer in all sectors while driving the FDI flows into the city, especially in manufacturing industry.
Addressing the Press Conference of the event, Belgian Ambassador Paul Jansen said, during the festival, other side events will be held covering completely different sectors ranging from investment, logistics to classical music. All blend together to form an unprecedented and versatile festival in Hai Phong.
“Despite being Belgian, Hai Phong is a second home to us. We arrived here 22 years ago and it feels like we’ve never been anywhere else. We want our festival to cover all aspects of the ever growing Haiphong and have the honor to host this on behalf and with the help of Embassy of Belgium in Vietnam, and express our hope that it can become a symbol of successful cooperation between Belgium and Vietnam, both for the past and the future,” said Mr. Bruno Jaspaert, General Director of Deep C Industrial Zones.
More than that, these event series serve as a sincere thank-you gift from DEEP C to Hai Phong and its people for 20 years of accompanying and developing together. Thanks to the warm welcome and dedicated support from Haiphong since 1997, DEEP C has been able to thrive and stand out as one of the largest industrial zones in Vietnam.
Being the biggest Belgian project in Vietnam, DEEP C expects this event series will strengthen the already close bond between Hai Phong and Belgium, and consequently call for more Belgian businesses to the city.
