Hanoi Architectural University Enhancing Int’l Cooperation to Improve Teaching, Learning Quality

In the 4 years since the Rector of Hanoi Architectural University signed Decision 1240/QD-DHKT-TH dated November 16, 2015, establishing the Institute for International Cooperation and Training, Hanoi Architectural University has made great progress in international cooperation, confirming its leading position in the training of architects in Vietnam construction industry.

University leaders always affirm that cooperation is the main driving force for the breakthrough in developing resources to serve the development of Hanoi Architecture University to become an international standard research university.

International cooperation activities are diversified in form, with many effective training and research cooperation programs, demonstrating the strengths and potential of cooperation of Hanoi Architectural University. The university always pays attention to long-term and reliable cooperation with prestigious universities and scientific and educational organizations in the world, with foreign corporations and enterprises in the form of scientific research and technology transfer cooperation, joint training of international undergraduate and graduate programs, organizing international scientific seminars, exchange of students and lecturers.

Over the past years, the university's leaders have always set the goal of linking the programs and the subjects with the Francophonie University Agency (AUF) and the French Universities: The National School of Architecture of Normandy (ENSA), Bordeaux National School of Architecture and Landscape, National School of Architecture of Toulouse, National School of Architecture of Grenoble, and particularly the University of Nottingham, UK - one of the world's leading architect training schools - ranking 70th in the QS University Rankings - and one of the ten best environmental architecture training schools in the world. The content of the program is well-designed and adjusted as required to increase the quality of architect training, associate theory with project design, update new information and knowledge as well as meet training criteria of the school.

Experienced teaching staff of Hanoi Architectural University as well as foreign lecturers from countries such as the US, Singapore, France and Germany often exchange and learn to bring the quality of training human resources up with the trend of the world.

Every year, students with good academic results can participate in exchange programs (short-term study, workshops) at the University's partner schools such as Kitakyushu University, Muroran Institute of Technology (Japan), and at French partner schools such as the National School of Architecture of Normandy, Bordeaux National School of Architecture and Landscape, National School of Architecture of Toulouse and National School of Architecture of Grenoble

Besides, every year, the school leaders also welcome and work, sign cooperation agreements with many partners and organizations in the field of architecture of European, Asian and American countries. Specific contents are discussed such as the direction to issue international standard certificates and qualifications in Vietnam as well as to bring students from other countries to Hanoi Architectural University for practical and scientific research, organize seminars and conferences between the two parties

Dr. Le Quan, Rector of Hanoi Architectural University, appreciated the support of the Governments and Embassies, educational organizations of other countries. The school's leaders always welcome and are ready to create favorable conditions for domestic and foreign organizations to coordinate and organize seminars and events. Rector Le Quan also said that this is a great opportunity to affirm the position of the university in 50 years of development.
