ASEAN-BIS 2020: “Digital ASEAN: Sustainable and Inclusive.”

The ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ASEAN-BIS) organized in the framework of ASEAN Summit is ASEAN’s premier annual business forum that brings together ASEAN leaders, heads Asean Dialogue Partners, thought leaders and business leaders to discuss about the future of the region.

Vietnam, after 10 years, is honoured to once again host ASEAN-BIS. As COVID-19 has significantly affected  regional economies, the Summit will be a pivotal event at a crucial time where the public and private sectors can come together to identify ways to promote inclusive sustainable regional growth in a digital age.

The ASEAN-BIS 2020 is organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on the sideline of the 37th ASEAN Summit on November 13th, 2020 in Hanoi. This year’s theme ‘Digital ASEAN: Sustainable and Inclusive’ will cover the importance of the fourth industrial revolution in stimulating growth, trade and investment against the backdrop of the shock of the coronavirus and the many challenges facing the region. Delegates attending ASEAN-BIS 2020 will have the opportunity to hear from speakers including Leaders of ASEAN countries and Heads of ASEAN's dialogue partners as well as business leaders of leading corporations and representatives of the most influential international organizations in the world. The ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) ceremony will take place during ASEAN – BIS 2020 to honor Asean businesses that have made great contributions to ASEAN's economic growth and in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Summit’s program will cover four sub-themes: ASEAN’s Economic Outlook; the Future of ESG Investing in ASEAN; Technology and the Future of Work in ASEAN; Sustainable Development and Inclusive Growth. ASEAN-BIS 2020 opens great opportunities for domestic and ASEAN businesses to access up-to-date information, prioritized trends, advanced technologies and solutions to achieve competitive advantage and sustainable development.
