PM’s Special Working Group on Solutions to Business and Public Difficulties Set up

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh recently signed Decision 1447/QD-TTg on establishment of the Prime Minister’s Special Working Group on Solutions to Business and Public Difficulties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.

According to this decision, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai leads the working group. Deputy directors of the Workgroup include Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung (permanent deputy), Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phuc and Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung.

The interagency workgroup helps the Government and the Prime Minister study, direct and coordinate to solve important and cross-sector matters in removing difficulties for businesses and people affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.

The working group actively approaches, captures and receives information about difficulties and problems of enterprises and people; proposes to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to prompt settlement of important, urgent, inter-regional and inter-sectoral issues so as to remove difficulties for businesses and people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It will work closely with the Prime Minister's Special Working Group on reviewing, removing difficulties and obstacles and promoting implementation of investment projects administered by ministries, branches and localities to advise the Prime Minister to deal with relevant matters.

In addition to helping the Prime Minister direct and coordinate activities among ministries, sectors and localities to tackle important and inter-sectoral issues concerning COVID-19 difficulties faced by businesses and people, the workgroup will propose solutions to handle their difficulties; assist the Prime Minister to monitor and urge the settlement of their difficulties within the jurisdiction of ministries, sectors and localities; and promptly propose rewarding and disciplining concerned organizations and individuals.

The working group is responsible for reporting situations, results and progress of settling difficulties for businesses and people affected by the COVID-19 epidemic to the Prime Minister on a monthly, 3-month or irregular basis, according to the decision of the head of the working group or at the request of the Prime Minister.
