Herbalife Vietnam Organize Ewellness Tour on “Preventing Non- Communicable Diseases” Topic

Premier nutrition company Herbalife Vietnam collaborated with Life and Health Newspaper under the Ministry of Health to organise the eWellness Tour on December 26, 2022. This was part of the company’s Get Moving with Good Nutrition campaign, which aims to encourage good nutrition and lifestyle habits among various communities in the country.

The e-tour’s agenda covered presentations on the current trends of non-communicable diseases among Vietnamese people, the importance of an active lifestyle in preventing non-communicable diseases, the role of supportive groups in promoting active lifestyles and good nutrition, and active lifestyles and healthy heart followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.

The eTour event featured speakers such as Dr. Louis Ignarro, Nobel Laureate in Medicine, Member of Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board; Associate Professor, Vu Thi Thanh Huyen, Head of Endocrinology - Musculoskeletal, Central Geriatrics Hospital; Associate Professor, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Xuan Ninh - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Institute of Applied Medicine, and Tran Van Manh MBA, General Secretary of Vietnam Olympic Committee.

Vu Van Thang, General  Manager for Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia said: “The good knowledge of balanced nutrition and regular exercise is key to enabling people to adopt healthy active lives. We hope that through this seminar, many people will not only be equipped with valuable knowledge but also urged to consume healthy food everyday and do physical exercise more often. The Wellness Tour program is part of our ongoing efforts to work with leading nutrition experts and health organisations to roll out initiatives on public nutrition education and training, to help people live healthier lives in the long haul.”

Earlier, Herbalife Vietnam awarded scholarships to 20 students and resident doctors majoring in Nutrition at the Institute of Preventive Medicine and Public Health (IPMPH) of Hanoi Medical University with a total value of VND 345,500,000 VND. This is part of a long-term collaboration program between the IPMPH and Herbalife Vietnam to develop talents in the nutrition industry and conduct scientific researches on nutrition and health.
