Vietnam Beverage Company Limited (Vietnam Beverage) just handed over VND375 million VND worth of disaster relief being in-kind donations to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees in the three provinces of Ha Tinh, Quang Ngai and Quang Binh.
During the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet), Vietnam Beverage will coordinate with the Fatherland Front Committees to deliver the donations to 15 primary, middle and high schools in the provinces .
Vietnam Beverage donates items to support disaster prevention in Ha Tinh Province
The donations include stretchers, first-aid kits, flashlights, life jackets, and lifebuoys, which will help enhance safety at schools frequently affected by storms and disasters. The program is a joint initiative by Vietnam Beverage, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev) not-for-profit organization C asean, and the Sirivadhanabhakdi Foundation.
Speaking at the hand-over ceremony at the Ha Tinh Province Fatherland Front Committee, Vietnam Beverage representative Mr. Nguyen Hai Son said: “We are very happy in continuing to contribute to disaster relief efforts and reduction of damage at schools in the three provinces. We hope these items will help boys and girls get to school in better and safer conditions. In the future, we will look for opportunities to continue our supporting activities in the provinces, especially in disaster preparedness and study assistance.”
Mr. Son added: “Vietnam Beverage is part of the TCC Group in Thailand, which holds an established tradition of investment in Vietnam. We always embrace sustainable development goals and make contributions to the community. Children are the future of the country, therefore, in our CSR activities in Vietnam, we care much about children and want to help them live and study in a better environment. The schools benefitting from our donations this time are ones severely affected by natural disasters since 2020.”
This donation follows previous times in the four above-mentioned organizations’ initiative designed to support schools in the three central provinces.

In February 2021, Vietnam Beverage, which represented the four, donated VND1.5 billion in cash to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to help build and repair educational institutions, as well as purchase new learning equipment for schools in Quang Ngai, Quang Binh, and Ha Tinh.
In January 2022, the four organizations handed out 750 Tet gifts and study support packs items worth VND750 million in all to the Fatherland Front Committees in the three provinces so that the children could enjoy a warm and happy Tet.
C asean, which is part of the CSR initiative, is an not – for – profit organization founded in Thailand’s Bangkok. It has recently opened its first overseas branch, located in Hanoi, with a mission to create better connectivity within ASEAN in sustainability, human development, arts, and culture. In the future, this NGO will look for opportunities to provide training of disaster preparedness skills for schools in central Vietnam.
Vietnam Beverage, whose business goals of sustainable development go hand in hand with its CSR programs, has actively implemented CSR initiatives supporting education and targeting future generations. In 2019, 2020, and 2022, Vietnam Beverage served as the Silver and the Bronze sponsor for the “Swing for the Kids” charity golf tournament, organized by the Vietnam Investment Review (published by the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment) to raise funds which are used as valuable scholarships donated to excellent students under difficult circumstances. The scholarships are worth hundreds of millions of Vietnamese dong.
In June 2021, responding to the Vietnamese Government’s call, TCC Group – the parent company of ThaiBev and Vietnam Beverage – coordinated with the Sirivadhanabhakdi Foundation to contribute USD1 million USD (VND23 billion to buy Covid-19 vaccines.
In addition, ThaiBev, through Vietnam Beverage, has invested in the Saigon Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) since 2017. ThaiBev is also embracing sustainable development, with many support activities devoted to education and disaster relief in Thailand. Therefore, ThaiBev will in the coming time focus on seeking opportunities to support sustainable development in Vietnam, especially in education and disaster relief for localities vulnerable to natural disasters.
