Potential hinterland logistics center in the Cai Mep - Thi Vai region
Tan Cang - Cai Mep Container Terminal (TCCT) is Vietnam’s first deep-water port in the Cai Mep - Thi Vai region, with a capacity to accommodate vessels up to 160,000 DWT. The terminal has been developed with the goal of expanding cooperative joint ventures, enhancing service quality, and conducting effective business operations. TCCT is strategically evolving into a hinterland logistics center, optimizing its capabilities and strengths to reinforce sustainable strategic alliances with major partners. These include collaborating with Ba Son Corporation in the operation and acceptance of project cargo and wind power equipment vessels between 2020-2021; and in March 2023 cooperating with KCTC Vietnam to operate Terminal B - Tan Cang Cai Mep with an area of 6.8 hectares. The terminal is intended to store long-standing imported container cargo, temporary ship-loaded and ship-unloaded containers, as well as to provide empty container services, cargo stuffing and unstuffing services, customs inspection services, etc. The port aims to expand yard capacity, share and mitigate port congestion risks, ensure vessel release efficiency, and deliver the highest quality services to customers.

TCCT has capabilities and in-depth expertise in operating and providing comprehensive logistics services for oversized and overweight projects, large-scale wind power projects, serving energy projects in the southern pivotal region. Additionally, it is a destination port in Vietnam for numerous international cruise ships. So far in 2023, TCCT has successfully received three international cruise ship arrivals, including the world’s top 10 luxury cruise ship - Spectrum of the Seas.
In the context of deep-water ports in the Thi Vai-Cai Mep region attracting an increasing number of direct service routes connecting the United States and Europe, TCCT's superior advantages and sustainable cooperation and joint venture strategies aim to develop into a key hinterland logistics center in the southern region of Ho Chi Minh City, promptly meeting the demands of customers, shipping lines, and increase operational efficiency.
