Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam recently organised a programme to introduce their tourism potential domestically and internationally in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
From April 3rd to April 6th 2015, the Centre for Tourism Promotion of Da Nang in collaboration with those of Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue alongside with local leading travel companies namely DHC, Helio Centre, Vietnam Travelmart, Premier Village Da Nang Resort, Hoang Long Yen, Montgomerie Links, Palm Garden Hoi An Resort, Golden Sand Hoi An Resort, Hoi An Tourist, Brother's Café, Nam Long Café, Laguna Lang Co and others, attended the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM).
Connectivity initiated
From 26-29 March 2015, some big travel agencies from major cities nationwide surveyed the new travel products and services of the three localities Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam. The 3 localities participating in one booth named Thu Thien Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam at the VITM is a continuation of a series of promotional activities to promote connectivity among these three localities.
Implemented since 2011 with alternate leading roles of Da Nang, Quang Nam and Hue, the affiliate programmes have enhanced local resources and effect of promotion activities. The connection capacity is improved, which helps facilitate the coordination between the three localities.
In 2015, with the role of team leader, Da Nang needs to ensure the active and effective coordination among the three localities as well as providing full and thoughtful content of image introduction. In addition, the three localities consider reasonable alternatives for each promotional activity to highlight the strength of tourism and tourist products of their localities.
The three localities will hold promotion activities and attend the Korea Travel Fair KOTFA in June and JATA Tourism Expo Japan in September 2015.
Jubilant events in 2015
Da Nang is preparing for the 7th edition of the International Fireworks Competition that will take place on April 28-29. Attending this event are competitors from Vietnam, South Africa, the US, Poland and Australia.
A lot of other events are scheduled for June such as Summer Meeting, Chef Contest – bartender, and especially the Ironman Race. In addition, with many attractive events in 2015, Da Nang aims to raise up the image of an "emerging destination in the world" – based on TripAdvisor votes.
In Hue, two new festivals, namely Hue Traditional Craft Festival and Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival, are scheduled for 29th April-3rd May and 19th May respectively.
Many new tourism products
Many new tourism products which are introduced by Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam in 2015 not only exploit the strengths of local tourism, but also contribute to improving the environment and increasing tourism attraction.
Da Nang focuses on entertainment products and services with the opening of entertainment series such as Yacht landings, Helio Recreation Centre, District village of France, high rail system in Asia Park, Night Market in the Han River, Vincom Centre, and Le Duan Fashion Street.
Meanwhile, Hue continues to exploit the royal beauty with many traditional art performances, exhibits and traditional products introduced in the grounds of Hue relics.
Not only attracting tourists with two world heritage sites of Hoi An and My Son, Quang Nam promotes eco-tourism, community tourism in Cam Thanh, Triem Tay, Tra Nhieu, and the Cham islands. It also promotes West Mountain Tour to experience 1.3km of the historic Ho Chi Minh trail, and organises tours in the south in Ha Thanh Beach, Phu Ninh Lake with new destinations such as Quang Nam Museum, Statue of Heroic Mother one of the largest monuments in the country.
With the close association of Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam in active promotion and the introduction of a variety of products, events, tourist attractions, 2015 is expected to be a successful year for tourism of the three localities.
Giang Tu
