Mr. Vu Chi Giang, Vice Chairman of Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee, recently held a working meeting with Mr. Vahram Kazhoyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Vietnam. The meeting was attended by leaders of several departments and branches of the province.
Mr. Vahram Kazhoyan stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 14 July 1992, relations between Armenia and Vietnam have constantly developed in both bilateral and multilateral aspects. Notably, the official opening of the Embassy of Armenia in Vietnam in 2013 has created a strong impetus for further development of political and economic relations, as well as other areas of mutual interest. The Embassy of Armenia in Vietnam is currently making efforts to introduce the image and strengths of Vietnam to the people and business community in Armenia. At the same time, it is introducing the image of Armenia to Vietnam to promote cooperative activities between the two countries.
The Ambassador of Armenia to Vietnam stated that Armenia and Vinh Phuc share many similarities in development orientation, both focusing on nature conservation and environmental protection. In the coming time, the Ambassador wishes to cooperate with the province in such areas as people-to-people diplomacy, industrial development, tourism, and trade.
Mr. Vu Chi Giang affirmed that the two sides continue to cooperate extensively in many fields to deepen the friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Armenia. Vinh Phuc’s economy has a high degree of openness, with more than 20 countries and territories investing in the province. Currently, the province is investing in building an industrial ecosystem synchronized with port logistics, reforming customs administrative procedures, and reducing costs for businesses. It is also focusing on synchronous infrastructure development investment projects in tourist areas, building golf courses to attract tourists, and developing commercial services. The province harmonizes industrial development with improving the quality of life of workers, striving to have no households living below the poverty line and raising the quality of material and spiritual life of people.
At the meeting, Mr. Vu Chi Giang assigned the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and related departments and agencies to work closely with the Embassy of Armenia to promote bilateral cooperative relations. He affirmed that Vinh Phuc always welcomes and facilitates investors, including Armenian businesses, to do business and invest in the province.
