As a gateway to the Mekong Delta, Long An province is a prime expansion area for Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The province plans to develop 22 industrial zones (IZs) on 8,100 hectares, including 8 IZs on 2,176 hectares already licensed: Xuyen A, Tan Duc, Vinh Loc, Thuan Dao, Vinh Loc 2, Thanh Duc (Ben Luc district), Tan Kim and Long (Can Giuoc district).

Long Hau IZ lies on the border of Can Giuoc district (Long An) and Nha Be district (HCMC), a high priority area for industrial development.
With a favourable location only 3 km from Saigon Container Port, 20 km from HCMC centre, 26 km from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and 13 km from Phu My Hung urban area, the IZ is well connected, within the nation and with other countries in the region, by land and sea, and a seaport network will soon be established.

In the future, the development of Long Hau – Hiep Phuoc road will link the IZ and Saigon Container Port with Highway 50 leading to western provinces. To the north, Long Hau IZ borders Kinh river, part of Soai Rap river and the river network of Saigon-Nha Be-Soai Rap-the East Sea.
The local traffic network has been improved to facilitate transportation between neighbouring provinces

In addition to supplying power, water and telecommunication, the IZ also ensures investors with other services such as storage, medical facilities, fire prevention and waste treatment.

On the construction of the IZ, Mr Dang Hong Dung, Director of Long Hau JSC said, “We have invested some VND380 billion in the IZ. During land clearance, we have offered 17 per cent of shares to the local people. Beside the advantages of the urban area and Hiep Phuoc port, the IZ has promoted human resources development, training more skilled workers to meet the demand of investors in the IZ.”

Together with the development of IZs, Long An province calls on investors to participate in the food processing, consumer goods and building material sectors to meet both domestic and export demand. The province also encourages investments in agricultural-forest-fisheries processing, heavy industry such as ship repair, building and mechanics, and other clean and low pollution industries. Investing in Long Hau IZ, investors will receive preferential treatment on income tax and land rental.
Investing in Vietnam, and in Long Hau IZ in particular, investors will enjoy Vietnam’s preferential income tax policies.
