WB Funds US$38.4Mln for Vietnam's Rural Power Project

The World Bank (WB) has recently financed VND614 billion (US$38.4 million) for Power Company No.2 to develop Vietnam’s rural electricity network, Liberated Saigon newspaper reported Monday.
 
Of the total, VND560 billion is to be pumped into the rural power distribution project will be provided to tackle overload and electricity loss.
 
The company will use VND54 billion to expand the power network in the southernmost province of Ca Mau, under the rural energy project.
 
It needs VND211 billion to carry out its power projects in the central highlands province of Lam Dong, the company’s General Director Nguyen Thanh Duy said. (Liberated Saigon)
