Nearly 18,000 State Agencies Pay Salary via ATMs

The number of the state agencies and businesses paying salary via automated telling machines totaled 17,925 units, surging 227 per cent from the end of 2007, the State Bank of Vietnam said.
 
Numbers of accounts received salary thru ATMs reached 925,081 accounts to date, an increase of 107 per cent against late last year.

Two biggest cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, have the biggest number of the state budget beneficiaries making salary payments via ATMs.
 
The central bank said total ATMs in the banking system increased 31 per cent so far this year to reach 5,895 machines, while the number of POS rose 12.4 per cent to 24,730 machines. (Labor)
