Vietnams H1 Export to Thailand Soars 63 per cent to US$762.3 Mln
Vietnam earned US$762.3 million from goods shipment to Thailand in the first half of this year, an on-year increase of 63 per cent, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said on its website.
In June, the country’s total export value stood at US$151.3 million, up 85 per cent on-year, the website reported.
Among export items to the ASEAN country, computers, electronics and spare parts topped the list with US$199.48 million, followed by crude oil with US$87.55 million, seafood with US$29.07 million, coal with US$11.97 million, bikes and components with US$11.83 million, apparels with US$8.7 million and plastic products with US$5.93 million.
During the first half, two-way trade doubled the on-year value, said the website without giving out specific figure.
Vietnam and Thailand established the trade ties two decades ago and the bilateral trade has seen a steady growth rate to reach US$5 billion last year. It is expected to double by 2010. (Vinanet)
