Internet - Fellow in Inflationary Era

To help enterprises to proactively make full use of IT applications to control inflation, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has recently held a seminar entitled “Internet - fellow in inflationary era” in Hanoi, which attracted a lot of participants.

 

Delivering experience from contributions to rein inflation, Mr Nguyen Thanh Hung, Director of E-commerce Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said: The ministry has reduced spending on newspapers, organised online conferences, using voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) telephone, used electronic documents, built internal information portal (eMoIT), and set up foreign market information portal to minimise costs for collecting, processing and providing information. He affirmed that MoIT has actively applied information and communication technology (ICT) to reduce costs but maintain quality. He reiterated that ICT applications helped cut costs and improve productivity and business performances.

 

Attending enterprises all said that internet is a useful instrument to popularise trademarks, introduce products, and seek information, partners, business opportunities and even management knowledge. However, the efficiency of IT applications and internet depends on understanding, valuation and decision of companies.
