Malaysia Giant Group Sign Deal to Build $3 Bln Express Railway with Vietnam
Giant Group Ltd of Malaysia and the Laotian government have signed a memorandum of understanding on construction of a $3 billion expressway linking Laos' Savannakhet province and Vietnam's central border-gate province of Quang Tri's Lao Bao, Vietnam News Agency said.
Under MOU, Giant Group will survey, build feasibility study and submit it to the Laotian government for approval.
The Malaysian group is expected to build 220 kilometers of express railway of width of 1.435 m and operate it within 25 years after 8 years of construction. (VNA)
