Spanish Cos to Arrive in Vietnam to Seek Investment Opportunities This Week
Two trade missions from Spain will arrive in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City this week to seek business opportunities and set up new commercial relations, the Spanish Embassy has said.
The delegation of AFM, the Spanish Association of Tool Machine Manufacturers, which will represent 100 companies will arrive in Hanoi today and tomorrow and will hold meetings with members of Vietnam Automation Manufacturing Industry, Vietnam Railway Corp and distributors of tool machines in Vietnam.
The second Spanish delegation made of AETIC, the Spanish Electronics, Information Technology and Telecommunications Industries and Association and nine IT and telecom companies will have meetings in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from December 10 to 12.
They will meet with distributors and agents to discuss future trade opportunities.
The trade missions have been organized by the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy and individual companies.
Spain is seen as a major manufacturer of tool machines in Europe and exports 60 per cent of its production.
Trade between Vietnam and Spain is forecast to jump 30 per cent to US$1.64 billion this year. Vietnam exports footwear products, garments, coffee and seafood, while it imports mainly machinery, chemicals, medicines and steel products from the European nation. (VNS)
