Samsung Vietnam Exports Mobile Phones to Thailand, Singapore
Vietnam Samsung Electronics Company has shipped the first batch of 20,000 made-in-Vietnam mobile phones to Thailand, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, state media quoted the company’s General Director Yoo Young Bok as saying.
The batch included both low-cost and high-class products, which were newly-produced in Vietnam and favored by many Vietnamese consumers.
Located in the Yen Phong I Industrial Zone in the northern province of Bac Ninh, Samsung Vietnam has increased its production output to serve both domestic and overseas markets. This is among seven mobile phone production plants of Samsung Group.
With a capacity of 60 million products/year and a total investment capital of US$670 million, the plant is rated as one of the largest mobile phone producers in Vietnam, and employed more than 600 local workers. (VNA, HCM City Law)
