Vietnam Builds Tourism Development Strategy for 2010-2020
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is developing a strategy for the 2010-2020 period in an effort to recover the industry, said the Hanoimoi newspaper Tuesday.
VNAT planners will create a development strategy for areas with tourism potential and will give priority to the development of unique tourist localities.
Vietnam welcomed 2.17 million foreign tourists in the first seven months of this year, a decrease of 18.7% on-year.
Vietnam has set a target of welcoming five million foreign visitors and 21.5 million local tourists this year. (New Hanoi)
