Vietnam Trade Surplus with U.S. Falls 9.7% to US$8.4B in 2009
The General Statistics Office estimated Vietnam’s trade surplus with the U.S. fell 9.7% from a year earlier to US$8.4 billion in 2009.
The Southeast Asian country exported US$11.2 billion worth of goods to the U.S., down 5.5% on-year and imported US$2.8 billion, up 9.1% on-year, the GSO said.
Vietnam’s exports to the U.S. in 2010 are forecast to increase 10% on-year. (GSO)
