The Vietnamese Ministry of Transport is seeking the government approval to build an expressway at a cost of VND29.2 trillion (US$1.54 billion) to connect Danang City and Quang Ngai province in the central region.
The 131.49-kilometer expressway, part of the North-South expressway, is expected to have between four and six lanes. It will allow vehicles to travel at a maximum speed of 100 km/hour.
Vietnam Expressway Development Investment Company (VEC), the project’s investor, plans to start the project in the fourth quarter of 2011 and complete it in 2015. (Investment)
