Nha Trang Airport to Become Trade, Administrative Complex

The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province and competent authorities have recently worked with the Air Force School about using military Nha Trang Airport as a commercial and administrative centre.

 

Nha Trang Airport, which was built in the middle of last century, is located in the heart of Nha Trang City, the capital of Khanh Hoa province.

 

The provincial authorities agreed to build the airport into an urban, commercial, service and financial complex and assigned the Department of Construction to organise a contest on planning ideas.

 

Mr Vo Lam Phi, Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, said: Leaders of the province and the Ministry of Defence agreed to hire foreign consults to design this “diamond land” into one of most beautiful and modern urban zones in Vietnam. This complex will include commercial and financial centres. Annually, the province will transfer revenues earned from the airport to the Ministry of Defence for military purposes.
