Samsung Offers Free Warranty

In late July Samsung Vina electronics company introduced its national programme to provide warranties and replacements of spare parts free of charge to all products distributed by Samsung Vina whose warranty periods have expired, excluding screen tubes and LCD screens.

This free warranty programme will be conducted from August 16 to November 27, 2004 with the motto of the 3Ss: Speed-Sure-Smile.

The programme has obtained many good results and positive responses from consumers over the last two years. Samsung spent VND5.6 billion (US$358,974) on guaranteeing, repairing and replacing spare parts free of charge for 2,941 products in 36 provinces and cities in 2002, and VND2.4 billion (US$153,846) for 2,467 products in 40 provinces and cities in 2003.

To take part in the programme, please send application forms provided at Samsung shops, or leaflets or copies of articles introducing the programme from newspapers to warranty service offices at:

-Samsung Plaza-2A Tran Hung Dao, District 1, HCM City

-Samsung Vina Factory, 938 National Highway 1A, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc District, HCM City.

On the occasion, Samsung Vina, in cooperation with FPT Mobile Company, launched a speedy warranty programme applied for all Samsung mobile phones distributed by FPT. Accordingly, the mobile phones will be fixed and handed over to customers in just eight hours. From August 16 to September 19, 2004, customers who have their phones repaired at Samsung Plaza-2A Tran Hung Dao Street, Ho Chi Minh City will enjoy a 30 per cent discount and will receive extra entertainment services free of charge.

This is indeed the first after-sale service promotion carried out by Samsung and FPT Mobile.
