Int’l Arrivals Up 13 Pct in Nine Months
Vietnam welcomed nearly 4.9 million foreign visitors in the first nine months of this year, up 13 percent year on year, according to the General Statistics Office.
The numbers of visitors from most of the foreign countries and territories to Vietnam increased from January to September.
The number of visitors from the Republic of Korea recorded the highest rise of 38.2 percent, followed by Malaysia, 25.4 percent, Japan, 24.5 percent, Thailand, 23.4 percent, Taiwan, 19.4 percent, and France, 8.1 percent.
However, the number of visitors from Cambodia fell 21.6 percent.
Vietnam plans to receive 6.5 million foreign visitors this year.
