Vietnam Welcomes More Than 650,000 Foreigners in January
Foreign tourist arrivals to Vietnam are estimated to reach more than 650,000 in January 2013, up 6 percent from December 2012 and 2.2 percent from the same month last year, according to the General Statistics Office.
Of the figure, more than 397,000 visited the country for vacations, up 6.4 percent, while those travelling on business were more than 110,000, up 0.9 percent.
Japan sent the most tourists to Vietnam in the first month of 2013, with more than 51,000.
Following it were the US (46,000); Taiwan, China (28,000); France (18,000); England (15,000) and Canada (11,000).
