Reed Tradex Continues to Drive Vietnam’s Supporting Industry to Infiltrate ASEAN Market

“Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2016 - VME” is taking place during April 6-8 at Hanoi International Center For Exhibition (I.C.E Hanoi), co-located by “Industrial Components & Subcontracting Vietnam (ICSV) 2016” and “Vietnam Sheet Metal (VSM) 2016”.

These specialized exhibitions will aim to create a “Community Platform” for industrial part-making factory owners, engineers, production managers, and industrialists to source new solutions, new parts, new suppliers, new partners, and new knowledge to keep up or lead the change that the promising future of AEC will bring.

On the occasion of 40th anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam-Thailand (1976 – 2016), there will be the presentation of machinery and technologies from Thailand to Vietnam market, this would not only further strengthen business relationships but also deliver win-win opportunities for both sides.

Mr. Manopchai Vongphakdi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Royal Thai Embassy in Vietnam remarked at the Opening Ceremony: “Since Vietnam has become a full member of ASEAN in 1995, positive results in trade and investment relations between Vietnam and Thailand have been observed. Particularly, the two countries upgraded their relationship to a strategic partnership. Over the past years, the two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Thailand has experienced fast growth. So far, there have been 2,000 Thai enterprises who wish to invest and did register with Thailand Embassy in Vietnam. Many small and medium Thai enterprises (SMEs) are developing their activities in Vietnam to obtain more shares in this potential market. Therefore, it is a good opportunity for Thai enterprises to enter and position in the market.

During the first two months of this year, Thai businesses had invested US$7.88 billion in 428 projects in Vietnam ranking 11 out of 112 foreign investors in Vietnam. Their investment was primarily focused on the processing and manufacturing industry with 220 business ventures valued at nearly US$7 billion, accounting for 47% of the total number of projects and 88% of investments in Vietnam.

Among over 200 brands from 20 countries at VME, machinery and technologies from Thailand would make names for themselves as being able to enhance manufacturing productivity, augment precision in production, reduce costs, and more. I am certain that, when equipped with the right tools, opportunities, and networks available from this exhibition, Vietnamese plastics manufacturing and mold making industries will quickly transform and upgrade themselves to be celebrated the world over.”
