NEPCON THAILAND 2016 will be a good platform to raise awareness for their businesses amidst the competitive market and also provide a good marketing platform to get industrial community connected with electrical and electronics manufacturing industry in the AEC and beyond it across the globe, noted Mr. Suttisak Wilanan, Deputy Managing Director, Reed Tradex Company, the exhibition organizer.

NEPCON Thailand 2016 will be held on 22-25 June at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand. According to Mr. Suttisak Wilanan, Vietnamese industrialists and investors in electrical and electronics industry should visit this show to find solutions on changing technology and emerging trends, on improving standards as well as provide linkages that will help boost the manufacturers in their quest to improve their operations for the global market.

Vietnam and Thailand are trading partners in ASEAN. Full effect of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) offers the opportunity for both countries in opening up a larger market and enabling the region to draw in more foreign trade and investment. With the strong advantage of Vietnam’s labor force while the labor costs in Thailand are rising, the two countries need to cooperate in transferring technologies and developing the key, suitable industries such as electronics, manufacturing, automotive, and others to deeply involving in the global supply chains, Mr. Suttisak Wilanan said.

Mr. Suttisak Wilanan described how automotive electronics are boosting Thai exports. In 2016 Thailand’s Electronics Industry is expected to grow by 2.1% pushed by PCBs and automotive electronics exports reaching 32,700 – 33,500 million US dollars. Spurred by weakening baht, manufacturers are concentrating on high precision items in automotive electronics, especially for hybrid and electric vehicles. Traditional electronics like printed circuits, integrated circuits, electronic sensors, and power inverter systems are also expected to grow this year.

With the launch of AEC, electronic manufacturers are exploring future growth areas in “Cloud Computing” which is supported by the Thai government-backed Super-Clusters to attract foreign investment. “Cloud Computing” has changed how electronics components are manufactured, and how customers interact with provided services.   “Cloud” technology has leapt over barriers of cost, time, and organization size to allow manufacturers to gain control and insights of their production process and supply chain. It is possible that future manufacturing facilities will migrate into the Cloud, capturing the value it will bring.

These emerging trends of “Cloud” technologies and Thailand’s electronics Super-Clusters are among the latest electronics innovations by 350 brands from 22 countries to be exhibited at “NEPCON Thailand 2016.”

Visitors will be able to study the latest industry insights and form critical partnerships in the show’s business matchmaking activities such as “NEPCON Networking”. These new knowledge might be important for sharpening the Malaysian subcontractors’ competitive edge.

Some highlighted activities at NEPCON are Electronics Design Village that will be organizing an “Electronics Design Village” aim to enhance IOT learning for manufacturers; Machine Vision Zone where Machine vision can show their superior detection capability to achieve highest quality control during manufacturing process higher than human eye can detect.

NEPCON Sourcing Zone is the perfect meeting place to discover sourcing partners to extend your business connection circle with the appropriate partners and subcontractors, from upstream to downstream.
