The Vietnam International Hospital, Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition (Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo), taking place in Ho Chi Minh City from August 11 to 13, 2016, draws the attendance of six Iranian pharmaceutical companies. On this occasion, Vietnam Business Forum Magazine has an interview with Mr Mohsen Rezaei Pour, Iranian Commercial Attaché in Vietnam. Anh Mai reports.
Why did Iranian pharmaceutical companies attend this exhibition?
Six attending companies represent 30 leading pharmaceutical producers in Iran and introduce more than 700 types of medicines. In recent years, Iranian pharmaceutical companies have made great progress in manufacturing highly effective medicines that meet strict technical requirements. So, Iranian companies want to explore new markets to distribute their products, including Vietnam - a very potential market that Iranian companies highly value.
Attending this Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo, Iran wants to introduce the potential capacity of Iranian drug makers, introduce high quality products, study market information in Vietnam, and access this market.
Would you brief us on the competency of attending companies?
Attendants are leading producers and distributors of new-generation medicines in Iran. Many new generation drugs of Iran are rated second or third in the world in quality and distributed all over the world.
Vietnam in particular and ASEAN in general are new markets for Iranian businesses, but we believe that, with high quality and competitive price, our products will have a good position here.
Would you tell us the outstanding features and competitiveness of products exhibited at the exhibition by Iranian companies in Vietnam and in the world?
Medicines introduced by Iranian companies feature anti-cancer, anti-MS, anti-Alzheimer drugs, heart tonics, diabetes drugs, and new-generation vaccines. These products are made in Iran and introduced by Iranian companies. By quality, only US products are our competitors of these medicines. Meanwhile, price is also an advantage of Iranian pharmaceutical products. With such advantages, Iran's medicines will increase the market share in the world market in general and in Vietnam in particular.
These medicines have been tested thoroughly on humans and play important implications in curing diseases. In reality, these remedies lower the speed and growth of diseases.
Currently, some cardiovascular medicines branded Zahravi are certified and distributed in the Vietnamese market. These drugs are highly trusted and recommended for use by doctors.
