Government Office Head Affirms Facilitating US Enterprises' Investment in Agriculture
Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung on July 11 held a working session with a business delegation from the US-ASEAN Business Council, led by Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director Michael Michalak.
At the meeting, Mr. Dung highlighted PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s determinations to establishing a Government of creativity, discipline, action and serving the people.

The Vietnamese Government encourages enterprises to invest in high-tech agriculture and coordinate with other partners and local people to enhance consumption of agricultural products, he said, appraising the US investors to pour more investment in agriculture in Viet Nam.
Mr Michael Michalak said that the US businesses see Viet Nam as an attractive destination, adding that nine enterprises from the USABC to Viet Nam this time are operating in agriculture.
Representatives of the US businesses expressed their hope to invest and expand operation in Viet Nam in fields of production and distribution of animal feed, food processing, production of veterinary drugs and pesticides.
The same occasion, they thanked the Vietnamese Government and relevant functional agencies for facilitating them to expand operation and distribution network in Viet Nam, committing to closely obeying Viet Nam’s laws and fully implementing social responsibility and community activities.
Mr Dung asked the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to work with the business community in general and the US enterprises in particular to establish a strategy on development of agriculture value chain, the trademark of Vietnamese agricultural products and attract more investment to develop agricultural economy in the way of applying high technology.
He suggested the USABC support more US enterprises to visit Viet Nam to seek for further investment opportunities.
