Vietnam - Argentina Business Forum

On February 21, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), in cooperation with the Argentine Embassy in Vietnam will host the Vietnam - Argentina Business Forum within the framework of the official Vietnam visit by Argentine President Mauricio Macri from February 20 - 21, 2019.

The Argentine business delegation attending the forum is comprised of companies engaged in various industries such as food (beef, confectionery and dairy products) wine, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, agriculture (cotton, fruits, animal feed, fertilizer, and machinery), machine tools, software solutions, retail, pet food, veterinary medicine, insurance, leather and banking.

VCCI is expected to sign a cooperation agreement with Argentina's Trade and Service Promotion Agency at this forum. In addition, the two sides are expected to establish the Vietnam - Argentina Joint Business Council soon.

Argentina is currently Vietnam's second largest trading partner in Latin America. Vietnam is also the 5th largest import market of Argentina globally. Trade relations between the two countries have achieved encouraging growth in recent years. In 2017, the bilateral trade value reached US$3 billion.
