On April 20, 2020, Unilever, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, with the coordination of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, continues to implement support its products to the frontline against COVID -19 pandemic. This time the total value of support package is up to VND18 billion, including more than 220 tons of products sponsoring 105 units in 37 provinces / cities across the country.

More than 100 units in 37 provinces / cities includes: Department of Health of provinces and big cities, front-line hospitals, quarantine areas, field hospitals and units in charge of quarantine and treatment of COVID-19. On April 20, Unilever directly delivered support products to over 40 locations in Hanoi, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Hue, Da Nang ... and will promptly hand over the support package in the next 2 days.
Handing over the VND18 billion product package to the Representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhi, Senior Manager of Sustainable Development & External Communications, Unilever Vietnam, said: Having been accompanying Vietnamese consumers for the past 25 years, with the mission of "Enhancing life, creating the future", Unilever understands that maintaining personal hygiene and living environment is a vital condition for preventing the spread of the COVID-19. Therefore, Unilever has launched "Vietnam stay strong" program in cooperation with Ministry of Health, through the Vietnam Fatherland Front coordination, to bring essential hygiene products to support the patient, quarantined people, front-line doctors and nurses at the frontlines, their families and the community to protect their health, stay strong to win the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic."

Mr. Hau A Lenh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman - General Secretary of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, said: “Vietnam Fatherland Front highly appreciates the support of Unilever Vietnam for its VND18 billion package of products, out of the VND50 billion that Unilever has pledged to support the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic. We see it reflects a high sense of responsibility and solidarity in response to the call of the General Secretary, President and Vietnam Fatherland Front, in line with the direction of the Government. This is a very timely source of goods during the challenging and difficult period when the whole country has been mobilizing all resources to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic.”
According to the representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Unilever's support package includes diverse items that are suitable for disease prevention and needs to be deployed promptly. Therefore, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has agreed with the Ministry of Health to direct the VFFs in the provinces and cities and the provincial Health Departments to deploy the product package to 105 units in 37 provinces and cities. Currently, Unilever Vietnam has been working closely with the Health Department of the provinces and cities to proceed and complete the package deployment before April 30, 2020.
