From being an exclusive distributor of Casio calculators in Vietnam, BITEX has increasingly developed, diversified products and become a leading provider of high-quality products for education and life.

BITEX Company has affirmed its brand name and strong influence since 1993, when it became the exclusive distributor of Casio calculators in Vietnam. When the country was in the early years of doi moi (renovation), BITEX imported the first scientific products, marking a change in the calculating method, especially in schools.

Since it distributed Casio calculators in Vietnam, BITEX has staged dramatic growth over the years, from a small handicraft merchant to the market leader in the handheld calculator industry.

In particular, in the past five years, BITEX has marked a new development step as it has successfully applied Technology 4.0 to operate, trade and diversify products. Its revenue always meets given targets, human resources are stable and per capita income rises. The company has already advanced into the 500 most profitable and growing businesses in Vietnam. In particular, for three consecutive years (2017-2020), BITEX is among the Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam ranked by VCCI.

Despite fierce competition, Casio calculators still maintain steady growth of about 30% a year, accounting for 70% of the market share, while scientific calculators account for 93% of the market share. In addition to distributing Casio calculators, BITEX has successfully diversified products by promoting the brand name launched by BITEX: European-standard Smartkids and Officetex stationery, B.bag suitcases and backpacks of international standard. In particular, BITEX has successfully brought the Pilot Pen exclusive brand of Japan to Vietnam as an exclusive distributor. Currently, BITEX has built a network of more than 200 distributors and 8,000 points of sale nationwide.

In addition to business development, education is key for the company’s sustainable development. BITEX is known for its contributions to the education cause of Vietnam. With close cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Training for the past 25 years, BITEX has hosted the math solving contests with handheld calculators, math solving tests with handheld scientific calculators, and guided teachers and students across the country to use Casio calculators effectively. Hence, BITEX has helped change mathematical thinking and applying modern equipment to teaching. In the past 25 years, BITEX has shown its stature in the cause of socializing education and renovating education.
