Petroleum Found in the Su Tu Nau Structure

The Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (PetroVietnam) says the Cuu Long Management Joint Venture Company has just discovered petroleum in Lot 15.1 of the Su Tu Nau (Brown Lion) Structure, Cuu Long Basin, in the Northeastern area (STN-1X-15.1).

 

As expected, the drilled well has found petroleum as expected, and the first current of oil came up with a capacity of 9,100 barrels daily from the first trial oil-bearing bed in a depth of 3,225-3,536m where there is an Oligoxen deposit. The joint venture company is preparing for a second trial extraction.
