THACO INDUSTRIES: Raising Steel Supply to 200,000 Tons/Year

Supplying various types of steel

THACO INDUSTRIES supplies a wide range of steel products, including hot rolled steel, cold rolled steel, construction steel, profiled steel, industrial steel and non-ferrous metals with a full range of steel grades such as SPCC, SPCC-1, SPCC-2, SPCD, SPCE, SS400, Q235, SPHC, A36, Q345/Q355, A572, SAE1006, CB240-T and CB400V-CB500V.

As a strategic partner of many reputable manufacturers like Hoa Phat, Pomina, POSCO and Hyundai Steel, THACO INDUSTRIES supplies premium steel that meets JIS, ASTM and other standards.

In order to reduce time, lower transport costs and optimize business performance, THACO INDUSTRIES has built warehouses in northern, central and southern regions, capable of supplying up to 200,000 tons a year on average. This is also a condition for the firm to ensure supply and stabilize prices in the face of the volatile market.

In the north and the south, covering 2,000 square meters, each warehouse has a storage capacity of 10,000 tons and can supply up to 100,000 tons a year. Especially in the central region, its bonded steel warehouse, covering 5,000 square meters, has a storage capacity of 50,000 tons and can supply 100,000 tons a year.

Customized steel processing

In order to expand its steel processing capacity to meet various requirements of customers, THACO INDUSTRIES invested in modern machinery, equipment, technological lines and advanced techniques:

Sheet slitters and cutters are equipped with slitting technology with a billet thickness of 0.3 - 6 mm and sheet cutting technology capable of cutting products with 12 millimeters in thickness and 12,000 millimeters in length to meet diverse processing requirements for customers.

Steel pipe and box steel production lines are powered by automatic technologies to create technically standardized products with the largest diameter of Ø114 mm and a maximum product length of up to 9,000 millimeters.

Laser cutting lines are installed with nine Fiber Laser machines imported from Switzerland and South Korea. With a power capacity of 15 kW, the system is capable of cutting steel sheets of 12,000 millimeters long and 40 millimeters thick. In particular, steel pipe and box steel laser cutters are capable of processing materials with different shapes (round pipes, square pipes, elliptical pipes, U-, V-, and H-shaped pipes) with guaranteed accuracy and optimized production costs.

Bending, punching and stamping lines are equipped with more than 150 bending/pressing machines of 60 - 1,000 tons. CNC benders are capable of processing products of 12,000 millimeters in length. 4-axis CNC steel plate bending machines are used to make large mechanical components with complex profiles such as tubular and conical steel.

With modern equipment and technology for large-scale production, THACO INDUSTRIES is capable of processing 200,000 tons of steel a year with a variety of sizes and shapes, featured with high complexity, absolute precision and aesthetic guarantee.

Aiming to become a leading steel processing and supply center

Currently, THACO INDUSTRIES is supplying materials for construction projects like high-tech pig farms in Binh Dinh and An Giang provinces and constructing and installing many pre-engineered steel projects and steel structures, such as steel structures of Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant and steel structures of aircraft shelters at Chu Lai Airport.

The group is a steel supplier for giant companies like Makitech, Doosan, GE, Schindler, Vinas, Cao Xuan Dung, Huu Toan and Hai Long.

In the coming time, THACO INDUSTRIES will boost its coil exports (hot/cold rolled steel) and construction steel exports (smooth coil and rebar) to Laos and Cambodia. In addition, the group will expand the operating scale and scope of domestic and foreign steel warehouses, concentrated in ASEAN countries (e.g. Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar) and gradually form an extensive steel business network, aiming to become a leading steel processing and supply center in Vietnam.
