World's Largest Bank to Help Promote Japanese Investment into Vietnam
The communist-run Government of Vietnam and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, the world's largest bank by assets, have inked a deal to cooperate in promoting the flow of Japanese investment capital into the country.
This is the first time Vietnam has signed such a cooperation agreement with a Japanese bank.
Under the agreement, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ will organize periodic seminars to introduce the investment climate in Vietnam to Japanese businesses.
The Japanese bank will cooperate with Vietnamese financial organizations to provide capital for enterprises in the country.
Meanwhile, Vietnam will update new rules and the current situation of Japanese companies in the country for the bank.
In the initial period, Vietnam will use capital sourced from the Japanese bank to fund projects in oil exploration and infrastructure improvement.
