Biggest Ever Banking-Finance-Insurance Expo to be Launched

Banking – Finance – Insurance Expo 2006, the country’s biggest-ever international exhibition on the banking sector will be inaugurated in Hanoi from April 20 to 23, state media reported.

 

The exhibition is co-organized by the State Bank of Vietnam and Bac Ha Exhibition and Fair Company on the occasion of 55^th anniversary of the country’s banking sector.

 

According to the organizing committee, the upcoming exhibition is projected to lure the participation of more than 120 local and international financial companies, including commercial banks, securities, and insurance companies.

 

Accordingly, 20 local projects are expected to call for investment capital during the exhibition.

 

This is the second exhibition of the banking sector. The first one, known as the Finance & Banking Expo themed “Financial and Monetary Market in the Process of Industrialization and Modernization” was held in late 2004 with the participation of five State-run banks and more than 30 joint stock banks, insurance companies, securities companies and banking service providers.
